Founded by Toral Shah and Kreena Dhiman, the South Asian Supernovas Community is a not-for-profit community interest company aimed at improving awareness and outcomes for breast cancer in South Asian women in the UK. We consider inequalities faced in cancer care in South Asians by considering co-morbidities, culture and cultural conditioning and colonisation of medicine to educate and support those working with this group. Having navigated our breast cancer diagnoses we use our lived experience, community experience, and professional backgrounds to change the landscape when it comes to South Asians and their breast cancer journeys.
